Did you know?
- While SPF does help protect us from UVB rays which cause sunburn, it's UVA rays that we should be more concerned about in the long term
- Ultra-high SPF does not offer all-day protection
- It's vital to apply the recommended amount of sunscreen (30ml) every two hours to ensure your child's skin is protected. For instance, if you apply half the recommended amount of SPF100, the protection level will be only SPF10
- There's very little difference between various SPFs in terms of blocking UVB rays:
SPF = % UVB rays blocked
- SPF100 = 99%
- SPF50: = 98%
- SPF25 = 96%
- SPF15 = 93%
